6th April, 98 players attended from Cumbria, Yorks, Wales, and Poland complementing local players and all enjoyed
a good days chess hosted by skem chess club. There were 3 Sections with £800 IN PRIZE MONEY.
The new venue, Skelmerdale Football Club Stadium, proved a success, meeting all our needs.
In 2009 we hope to expand by including an open section. Feedback to this on our web site
would be welcome.
